My Top 12 Movies of 2007

I don't care what anyone says, the Oscars sucked this year. (No, I didn't watch them...but I did see the nominees and who won.) So, without further ado, here's my picks for the year...

12. Stardust
Why? Because it was damn funny watching Robert Deniro as a dancing cross-dressing, lightning bolt catching air boat pirate.

11. 1408
Another Stephen King short story - turned movie. What? John Cusack in a supernatural thriller? Cool.

10. 3:10 to Yuma
I've liked Christian Bale since Reign of Fire. Can't wait for the Dark Knight this summer. Rescue Dawn was actually pretty good too.

9. National Treasure, Book of Secrets
If you liked the first one, you'll like this one.

8. Spider-man 3
One reason - Venom. Fucking awesome.

7. The Kingdom
In spite of this film's lack luster marketing strategy, and I'm assuming that's due to the conflict in Iraq, it was very good.

6. 300
TONIGHT...WE DINE...ON THE NOOB TUBE!!

5. Live Free or Die Hard
Honestly, even though Bruce Willis is like 208 years old, he pulled off another pretty good sequel.

4. Pirates of the Caribbean - At World's End
Davy Jones rocks. And did I mention that Chow Yun-Fat is in it?

3. The Bourne Ultimatum
Loved these films, but shaky-camera directing Paul Greengrass has got to go!

2. I am Legend
I really liked Will Smith in this film. He actually acted.

1. Transformers
Despite a few campy lines in the dialogue, this film really brought the heat to the big screen. Transformers 2 is due out in 2009.

I haven't seen everything I wanted to yet from 2007, but I doubt any DVD's I have coming from Netflix will top these.

New Look

So, I saw Matt in CVS...but not really

On my lunch today, I stop in the CVS on the corner of Ironwood and Edison to pick a few things. I'm walking by the film/print area and on the counter I see a picture in a frame that bears a recognizable face: Matt and his daughter. I snapped a picture with my cell phone. It's not the greatest quality, but you get the idea.

I'm assuming you're collecting royalties off of this, right? Haha. Oh, and I changed the look of the blog...what'dya guys think?

Week in hotness: Jessica Biel

Where the hell is everybody? I'm the post whore I guess. So, this week's hotness is none other than Jessica Biel. She's been in quite a few films, but I think the first time I saw her was in Blade Trinity. She played the bow and arrow wielding vampire-killing chick. Since then, she's been in Stealth, Elizabethtown, The Illusionist along side one of my favorite actors, Edward Norton, Next, and a few others. She was also most recently in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.
