I don't even remember how I came to like Metallica really. I seem to remember coming across 'One' at some point and then I kind of went backwards in my listening research of them. Which is when I found Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightning. I never really got into Kill 'em All much, but I don't dislike it.
And Justice For All... has this authentic, accurate complexity of sound that's rarely found anywhere. And when you crank that shit, there are few sound systems that can really handle it. 'Blackened' and 'Frayed Ends of Sanity' are two of my ultimate favorites.
Old habits reappear, fighting the fear of fear... growing conspiracy...myself is after me... frayed ends of sanity...here them calling me...hahahaaaha
It just doesn't get any better than that.
Since those great times, Metallica released the Black album, under producer Bob Rock, Load, and Re-Load. And following those up with the troubled St. Anger. St. Anger really didn't go anywhere in terms of heightening or furthering Metallica's sound of appeal. But they are back in the studio working on yet another album.
